Mrs. Frances “Winnie” J. Kerst, 81, formerly of 702 E. Monroe St., died Sunday in the Alward Nursing Home in Attica, where she had lived since November of 1967. She had been ill four years. She was a native of Winthrop in Warren County, where she and her husband lived on a farm for a number of years. She had lived in Williamsport since 1943. In 1909, she was married in Danville, Ill., to Lew Wallace Kerst, who died in 1961. Mrs. Kerst was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Attica. Surviving are four sons, Russell of Highland, Hubert of Fowler and James and William of Williamsport; a daughter, Mrs. Geneva Stillabower of Phoenix, Ariz.; and a sister, Mrs. Anna Odle of Alvin, Illinois. – jlr
